An article each issue from a select member of FindaFreek, FreekSpeak.
And, the cornerstone of the magazine, Da Family bringing in our friends from different bands to speak directly to everyone. Dro from Deadstar Assembly stars in the first issue, with upcoming articles pledged by Jared/Chemlab, Rogue/Cruxshadows, and many many more.

Its been another mass effort to fight against the societal grain to put out an effort that will definitely be stirring up the ether for quite some time to come.

Angel and ERock participate in first-ever private space launch!

although we werent turning any dials or pressing any buttons, but we were definitely there to witness this amazing occurance within our history.

more pics/video to come. i've seen some of the news coverage, and it barely covers the incredible significance of today.

it felt like a handful of great friends at a rock concert. like an ultra-mini woodstock, or perhaps the earlier years of burning man. it pulsed with excitement for the amazing event that it was. a team of individuals, private funded, pulled off the very first private sector suborbital space launch. an incredible step forward for society and our achievements outside of government. instead of the billions afforded by NASA, several visionaries came together to launch a seasoned 62-year old pilot into the atmosphere wearing nothing more than jeans and a shirt. nothing fancy, nothing overdone.

It was the first USA man in space in two years.
(since the shuttle program has been shut down)

i suppose the musical analogy would be the difference in watching the uber-expensive flashy-light everything-behind-the-scenes Britney Spears production (NASA) ... and then watching Eric Clapton saunter over with nothing more than one guitar, one amp, one cord, plug it in, and rock the house even harder. hell yeah.

This is perhaps the early beginnings towards public space flights to the moon.
This is science in the hands of the public.
This is a new legend for our generation to behold.

When the successful SpaceshipOne landed on the runaway it was an amazing sense of humanity. They pulled the rocket along the landing way with the pilot dancing a jig atop of it. He stood and waved while others took pictures. Hell, he even grabbed his OWN camera and took pictures of the crowd taking pictures of him. Now that was fucking beautiful. The humility to participate in the moment himself, along with the rest of the world. To further the outstanding moment, ship designer Burt Rutan ran across the runaway, into to the crowd, and asked for one of the signs a few guys were holding next to us.

Burt Rutan sums it up best with a quote explaining the ambition it takes to pull off an event that changes the world - "Your ability to deal with chaos and nonsense defines your creativity."

Stirring up Trouble at C10!

Cheers to everyone I partyed with at Convergence 10 in Chicago! It was an incredible time with much Absinthe (ahh.. yes.. extra thanks to those who shared bitter charm of wormwood!). It was great to see so many people from Fetisch's FindaFreek, as well as many friends from last year. It took half of Sunday to recover from Saturday.. (which sort of lasted into half of Sunday anyways... but what the hell, we still had alcohol to consume!... heh.. ;) ) Here's a few pics for all who missed out. Ahhh! Apologies for things taking so long again for an update.

Half the reason is because we've been busy, and the other half of the reason is we've been stowing away like hermits working on the album. >;)

However last night a few of us took a much needed break and took a moment off to have some drinks and kick back with a few hundred sexy models at Trashy Lingerie's 30th Anniversary Party.

It was a cool night... including the nameless business exec who fell in love with our 4 uberhot escorts, and offered to foot the tab for some late night partying and dining... (ha!)

No pixxx from the night to post.. well none showing anything legal that is... ha! .. hmm.. ok, well heres'a couple that I think were captured from a cellphone... its only mild evidence, so... heh

The party was quite cool... with of course many enjoyable visuals. Dita von Teese made a couple on-stage appearances as well.

I'm sure theres more pics around somewhere considering the constant video and cameras thrust at our head. Oh - and SOME network microphone toting whitegirl-downtown-julie-brown-with-a-foreign-accent decided to interview us on the whole red carpet entrance/etc during a completely SOBER moment asking the most inane questions. It had about the same effect as being woken from a deep sleep and being asked scientific theory. "uhhh? huuu?" .. We would have given $20 just to have gone inside, had 3 drinks, and come back out to make fun of her on camera instead. tsktsk..

Wow! so many things going on...
eRock and I and are sitting around the mixing boards and computers... so we decided to take a break to share a few much needed updates!

The website is whoopin' ass!
The album is whoopin' ass!

50 - 100 new people are joining up on the site per day...
so many cool people.. we wish we had more time to say hello.
But, we'll see everyone on tour soon, so... ;)

There's a new MP3 clip on the website to listen to!
Its a rough mix we just dumped down from the mix board just to give everyone a quick rough idea of what the album will be like... so check it out! click the blinking mp3 icon on the splash page of the website...

leave Fetisch. I've had nothing but good, crazy times
in this band, and I've met a lot of great people. But
after a lot of soul-searching, I've realized that
things with it are going in a different direction than
the path that *I* need to be on... There's no drama,
everyone is still friends, and I will make it a point
to be there whenever Fetisch plays again, throwing
granny panties at the stage, and taunting our buddy
Damon "Shadow". ;)

We're happy as fuck to say we've met our launch goals for the website! Our goal was 200 users before 2/14.. today we'll clear 250. We hit it in HALF the time. It looks we'll hit our goal of 2000 for 4/1 without any problem at all.

Matter of fact, we're definitely *past* testing.
But our "official" release date will stay the same as we fix up some of the tiny things that we're finding from time to time.

Things are actually going so well, that cool new features have been added that werent even on our list before launch.

If you're a club promoter - contact us.
We want to have the FindaFreek portion of the site more involved with what you're doing. Certain parts of the site can be customized to your local scene for clubs ads/info/specialevents/etc..
We just want more more beautifully twizted freeks to share.

Everything is going great.
The response to the new website is incredible!

So, its two weeks before we expected to really go public with the system.. but.. we've caught *most* of the major bugs at this point. We're just finishing get all the Fetisch photos up and making improvements here and there... So, if you've got a crowd, bring 'em in! We'd be ever grateful if you can post about the site in your own LiveJournal's as well...

speaking of which... we've also put something together to get YOU in the spotlight along with us! We've identified some of the bugs, and it hasnt completely crashed (heh).. although there are a few critical bugs we're going to fix this week. Some people are having some difficulty in logging on.. we'll take a closer look at that too.

I have this saying of when things look like "they dont add up" ... they usually dont. Our bullsh*t detectors are stronger than most of us give ourselves credit for. Yet, so much we think about, and then popular media "redirects" us from realizations just as we begin to ponder the real details.

Heres a great one to start with:

You spend 12 years in school before you graduate highschool.
What are you taught about history?

Yes.. that BORING FUC*ING class about Alexander the Great, or whatever BS happened Europe, who took over what, social studies, what war leader conquered who, Constantinople, the Ottoman Empire, yeah, all that crap... etc. (btw, you're right. Chances are you'll never use that information again in life... )

So speaking of History.. how far back does that stuff date?
Heck, lets go deeper... how far back does the BIBLE date?

a little more than 2000 years right? We're in 2004 AD right now, so...
So fine... then theres all the scientific discoveries of man and homo sapiens that date back 1,000 - 10,000s of years. OK. So! HUMANS have alive for... a long fu*king time.

Now - lets look at science.
40 years ago we landed on the moon.
75 years ago we invented television.
100 years ago we were building a better musket-rifle.
...and in the 40 recent years we've developed computers, nuclear technology, sattelites, cloning humans, and nanotechnology.

OKAY, SO THATS A LITTLE MORE THAN ONE LIFETIME AGO. RIGHT?
Do you mean to tell me that ALL of this INCREDIBLE science has happened JUST in the past 100 years?

ONLY (and suddenly!) in the past 100 years, we've figured out how to blow up the Earth 100x over with war machines and technology?!

Now, I'm not asking you to do anything more, except ponder that.
Does that make logical sense to you?

That for 10,000s of years we were freakin' idiots with fire and a wheel running around going "oog! oog! caveman! oog!". But magically in the past 100 years we *suddenly* got smart? In ONE lifetime?!

Now add in this ingredient... inside the ancient tombs, pyramids, and writings of the world, there are pictures of airplanes, helicopters, and flying machines.

nawww... lets just reserve this for the occasional Discovery channel right?

Ahhh..
We are just gloating with anticipation...

Because we know *just* how cool the shiz is we've got coming up for everyone. The website is nearly ready for testing... and I've been singing all week laying down final vocals for the album. Looks great, sounds fucking amazing.

The best part is being able to share it with everyone damn soon.

As you know, Im no fan of the 'system' we live in and I'm enraged at the lies the media feeds all of us.

First of all I'm surprised we ever did say we caught Saddam. Gotta keep the "fear" engine going to justify our presence in Iraq. I'm not sure what the next govt play is... but this one just reeeeks of propaganda.

WHAT THE MEDIA SAYS:
We find Saddam, a WORLD LEADER, hiding in cellar basement.

THE PROPAGANDA:
- pictures of Saddam looking like an aged bum
*meant tarnishes his character
*removes all dignity associated with him
*big push to internationally display these pics

- found in a farmhouse cellar
*purposely described as a "spider-hole"
*meant to further remove and dignity

- Bush earns cool points
*nearly everyone is questioning this war
*what a perfect time to improve his image

THINK ABOUT IT, DAMNIT:

- This is a mass multi-millionaire ex-WORLD LEADER with a known massive underground military system... he could defect to any country in the world. And he's found IN A FARMHOUSE CELLAR???? For chrissakes, even if he WAS hiding in the cellar, you damn well know with that amount of money he'd at least have SOMETHING to keep himself occupied instead of 4 dirt walls. A leather couch at least!! DUHHR. Does this not seem a LITTLE askew to anyone??

- Remember Bush's words "We're not leaving until we find Saddam" ... anyone care to take a wager if we actually LEAVE within the next 6 months?! NOT LIKELY. Iraq is THE perfect place to build permanent US military bases in strike range of the entire middle east. It has ocean access, and unlimited oil. Looks like somebody setting up a power center for later moves.

- Remember the special forces "pre-emptive" strike where we hit Saddam's palace before the war? I'm thinking we caught him THEN, had him all along, and have been waiting for the right moment to say we 'caught him'.

- ..and oh yeah. The reason for us being there in the first place, and defying the entire United Nations.. the chemical weapons? have never been found. But yet, we still occupy this country.

Now.. whats right, and whats wrong, who knows.

Hey reporting in from new yawk, for those of you thast don't know, I am in New York working on some top secret stuff.......damn the pizza here rocks! Raisin' Hell on Halloween Weekend!

uhmmmm.... ... wow!

pure fucking beautiful insanity!

It all started Wed night with me pulling an all nighter on the webpage then leaving for San Francisco to do a quick show with the Astrovamps (Fetisch was supposed to play too, but eRock is out of town so we had to cancel this time around)... as always, everytime I seem to set foot OFF stage after getting ON it, things just get craaaazy. Between backstage antics and almost having to jump in an almost-fight with a bouncer.. ha.. crazy! Monsterous fun.. ooh yeah, also met this totally cool pro-piercer girl who gave me some bitchin' info too. mmmm.. need more piercings.. must have more...

Then, it was travelling back on Friday to get in town just in time to get ready for the Halloween festivities. I had no idea *what* was going to happen, but I was sure I'd find some trouble to get into. ;)
The night started out helpin' out a friend hook up some "party favors" via another friend of mine.. then it was off to Miss Kitty's. WOW! KILLER! FUCKING PACKED! ..and ran into some great friends there as well. Miss Kitty *rules*, and we actually found a few minutes to BS since I havent even had a chance to hang in months. Then it was off to an afterparty afterwards. (mmm.. more drinkage... ) A beautiful night, with so many gorgeous little demons!! niiice!

Shook off that hangover on Saturday just in time to catch Hanzyl and Gretyl and Genitorturers at the Keyclub with fellow troublemakers Happenin' Harry and Charlotte of Severe Society (*ahem*.. [blink][blink].. h o t ). I was really looking forward to catching H&G since they've been a way huge influence for a loong time. WOW. H&G KICKED ASS. It was great to finally see them perform. fucking hell... amazing! And of course, as always, Genitorturers spun their web of erotic evils. yumm.

That night ended up somewhere on H&G's tourbus after ubershots of Jack Daniels, Charlotte having Gretyl and Genitorture Gen sign her chest, and shovin' off bit in a few impromptu mosh pits (bah! nothing beats a little ol'skool anger-management! no one should ever act too cool not to crush a few people together on solid concrete!).
...and that good friends is where the insanity BEGAN!

Ran into many cool friends including Glitterbug from Vegas In Space, Traci from the Peppermint Creeps. Anna from DrainSTH (whos playing bass for H&G.. nice.) and Nadja from Coal Chamber were kickin' into the party too. gorgeous.

...and WHO WAS THE DUDE in the Marvin the Martian getup with the squirtgun!? rad...

Ahh... It was great to share a few brews and cause a damn good ruckus!
A Halloween for the record books!

well, now its back to the webpage for a few more days of programming.
As you seen now, quite a few changes to the livejournal. This is very much a preview of what the upcoming webpage will look like. The livejournal page is actually a part of the website too in a cool way too. The links at the top are inactive as of now.. but soon... soooon.. everything will be in fully operational!

Happy Halloween, everybody! I know we've been teasing you with the arrival of the new website for a looooooong time now, but it really is almost finished. I've seen Angel's work in progress on it, and it's incredible! We also have a ton of photos from the Whisky show that will be shared as soon as they get scanned in.

Finally, for those of you who have cable, you can catch me in a film short that will air on AMC (American Movie Channel) at 9:55PM tonight.

Well, I yanked myself outta the house for the first time in a week to do a nifty show with The Astrovamps at some huge Naked LA Halloween Ball put on by Score's Gentlemens Club (errr.. strip club.)

We shared out stage with the BDSM troupe Severe Society. They're the resident whipping-masters at Hollywood's club Dungeon. So THAT was pretty kick ass! And well, despite my rations of penicillin, there was just no way I could of been around that much naked debauchery without a drink! BUT.. the club is full nude and because of it, no drinks are served. Well.. using my "I'm in the band" priveldges I was sure to sneak in a bottle of Jack Daniels and Absolut in my equipment bag that I happily shared with us and some of the girls from Severe Society! Ahhh! What it felt like to party again! Now THATS good medicine! harhar!

Well, today I'm back in full force and have been wrenching away at the Fetisch webpage. I should have page 1 completely finally finished by tomorrow. *whew!* finally! Which means getting something up and running damn soon for everyone to see! We've got SOOO many cool photos and great things going on that nobody knows about 'cause the damn site isnt up!! ARRRRGH!!! Theres even a new interview out in Campus Circle on us too.. you'll be able to download it from the site as soon as its up. (NOT LONG! I SWEAR! I'M BUSTIN ASS ON IT!)

okay... well... its 3am and I gotta drive back to the rehearsal room to grab my cold meds.. my stupid ass forgot them there when I offloaded the equipment last night. (no.. the Jack Daniels had nooothing to do with it!)

Stay tuned to E! though, I hear their supposed to air segments from the show. I saw some of the footage... looked kick ass!

all hail to the man!

...wearily I blink my eyes at the computer screen. I bring my hand to my face and touch the skin of a freshly-shaved full beard. My eyes begin to focus, and my fingers take to the laptop keyboard like an old path well-trodden.

Its been a week since I've even considered whats going on outside my protective bubble. Right before our last show I developed a sore throat .. within days afterwards my body fell under assault to some alien-world virus. An itchy-rash had started on my hands and feet, and then had spread to about 80% of my body. The doctors told me "its normal, we see this in kids a lot." ... Normal??! I couldnt think, I couldnt move except to scratch off my skin. My hands and feet were deep shades of red from me scratching off layer after layer of skin. They were raw, hurting, itching, crisp. As it begin to spread I dosed myself into stupidity with as much medication as I could find ( we were at a point now far beyond my usual homeopathic cures ).

Pennicilin for the antibodies,
Atarax for the Itching,
Benedryl for the antihistamines AND itching,
2000+mg of vitamin C,
multivitamins,
and what-the-heck some Echinacea and Goldenseal for good measure.

It was like having chicken pox all over again, but except my skin was red and blotchy .. very similiar to what somebody with "measles" would look like. The itching was so severe I couldnt even think about using a computer or working on the Fetisch webpage. I just had to OCCUPY the mind with ANYTHING to prevent me thinking about the ITCHING. My only savior was constant hours of the XBOX and Morrowind. Yeehaw for epic role-playing games that suck you in!

As much as I openly bitch about some of the trappings and scams of modern medicine (example: todays horrid approach to cancer treatments), there are some things I am MASSIVELY thankful for. Alexander Flemming, the inventor of Penicillin is my new god of worship! All I can think of is that if I was living in the Dark Ages I would have easily been accused of witchery and burned at the stake, or accused victim of such and drowned in holy water. Then again, I wasnt against trying to take a swim in a trough of holy water to see if it would help. This was MEGA scary.

well.. I'm getting better. I'm typing at least. I'm still taking it rather easy. Theres still about 10% of the rash left, and I'm still scratching here and there. Hard to believe this is "normal" for some viruses, but thats what the Doc says - so fine. I guess I forgot what its like to be a kid and get stuff like this.

hmmm.. well.. time for some more meds. I'm not quite in the clear right now, but at least I know that whatever this demon spawn unholy hellfire virus I've got is going away.

But for the next beer I drink, "Cheers!" to Alexander Flemming.
If it wasnt for him - I'd be skinless and dead!

CLUB FUNERAL KICKED ASS!

So I was out at Club Funeral on Sat, running the soundgear.

What an absolute KICKASS time that was!
Penis Flytrap put on a great show, and everyone loved it. I wish we coulda had a bit more power in the soundrig, but ahh.. 'twas still a good show.

Veronika Sorrow (Funeral's owner/promoter) was *ultra* cool and kept me plenty full of Heinekens. (yay!) ... met many many cool people, and a lot of great friends I met at Astrovamps shows as well. Speaking of which Dan and Eyajo from Astrovamps were there at Funeral as well!

The venue kicked major ass... totally beautiful.. huge ass stage with this giant movie screen backdrop with cool images... I just sat back in theater seats a number of times and thought "wow.. that just looks SO fucking cool".

But the best cap of the night was, of course, the afterparty!
Penis Flytrap was there of course, and the bassist and I chummed it up about Michigan and Detroit. (yes! east coast brethren! heh.. always a good regeant for a party! >;) ) Veronika put on a neverending list of music and we drank the night away into trouble-causing mayhem. yeehaw!

Ahhh then last night Fetisch was all gathered together for a bitchin rehearsal for the Whisky show.. my voice was shot from partying on Sat, but shhhh.. dont tell the rest of the band.. *snicker* (ahem.... not like they couldnt tell or anything.. as I was blaming it on the PA system instead of me drinking until 7am.. heh.. doh!)

uhmm.. wait.. wasnt I supposed to be working on the website for the past few days??
(damnit.. programming.. beer... programming... beer... such a difficult choice to make.. uhhh.. not.)

ahhh shweeet..
M.Manson concert last night was verrrry cool.
(I snuck out from working on the webpage for a few minutes yesterday!)

Sooooo many cool friends, and met soooo many more cool friends.
There wasnt a single asshole the entire night ..
(well, except for some of the cops .. but I guess thats to be expected.. whatever...)

It was great... like having so many of your friends in one place for a party, but without having to clean up afterwards! haha!

Manson put on a fantastic show!.. absolutely brilliant..
great energy.. Tim Skold whipped out this badass standup bass for a tune as well.. and speaking of which while they did that, John5 had a bass as well... no guitars .. nice! cool idear.. two basses.. one normal, one distorted. kiiick ass.

I dont think I've ever had a better time just hanging out preshow and meeting new people and talking about music in general. awwwesome...

hmm, well time to get my arse in gear.. running some sound stuff tonight for Club Funeral/Penis Flytrap... gotta go configure blinky lights and gear stuff. yay! toys! come on by if you're lookin' for somethin' to do this evening. I havent been to the new venue yet ... really cool old theater.. BUT, this is also the last date in the NEW venue, as I'm told the current venue changed ownership. UGH! Since we have locked Angel in the Fetisch basement until the new website is done, I thought that I would stop by and update the band's LJ. We're all excited about Wednesday's show (at the Whisky), and we should also be recording some vocal tracks this week.

Anyway, I was inspired by a thread on the fabulous Lunarclick's messageboard entitled, "Ask a Bandmember", so feel free to post here and ask us anything! It can be a question for the whole band, or just for a particular member.
